Spent the night on the Jackie Robinson Parkway(formally Interboro Parkway) with Supervisor seating on the other side all night (14 hour night). First time I remember seeing lighting and hearing thunder in a snow storm.

Later in the year we lost a good man to a terrible accident cause by someone throwing muriatic acid into a stop and causing his death. It seems like the entire Department cried at the funeral for Michael Hanly.
